Forward Hope is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is committed to building a home for foster kids who age out of foster care. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing living environment where each child can thrive. We believe that every child deserves to have the resources that they need for a bright future.
The Numbers
More than 23,000 children will age out of the US foster care system every year.
National studies have shown that within two to four years of leaving foster care at age 18, 40% became homeless.
40+ youth in Mecklenburg County are projected to age out of foster care this year with no one to support them in their transition to adulthood, leaving them at a higher risk for negative outcomes.
